Wild Prairie Cattle Co is looking for a friendly, dependable and motivated person to join our team as a Sales Associate at our store in Assiniboia.
We are a small, locally owned western store, which means every member of our team plays an important role in creating a welcoming experience for our customers and keeping the store running smoothly.
The anticipated start date for this position is late August. This is a permanent position and is not a seasonal summer role.
About the Position
Responsibilities may include:
- Welcoming customers and helping them find the right products
- Processing purchases and operating our point-of-sale system
- Restocking, organizing and merchandising products
- Keeping the store clean and presentable
- Opening or closing the store and working independently when required
- Taking photos or videos and helping create simple social media content
- Completing additional tasks during quieter periods
Who We’re Looking For
The right person will be:
- Friendly, approachable and comfortable helping customers
- Dependable and able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
- Willing to learn about our products and point-of-sale system
- Able to stay productive without needing constant direction
- Comfortable using a phone or tablet for basic workplace tasks
- Interested in western fashion, agriculture, ranching or rural life
Previous retail, customer service or cash-handling experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.
